Mediation in the Post Churchill World
Mediation in the post Churchill world: a joint PBA/PLA event
This joint PBA/PLA event on 21 May 2024 will come in three stages.
First, Kelly Stricklin-Coutinho of 39 Essex Street chambers (junior Counsel on the Churchill case) will be joining us to give her thoughts on what has changed, what has stayed the same and what the future might hold following the Churchill decision.
Second, time to sit back and enjoy the show. The PLA and PBA are proud to be hosting an original 90-minute “Mediation Theatre”. This is an opportunity to hone your own mediation representative skills by watching volunteer PLA and PBA members in a real-life mediation situation over seen by CEDR mediator, Mandy Lenton.
And finally, no joint PBA and PLA event would be complete without the opportunity to relax over drinks and networking. The informal part of this evening will have a twist however – the drinks will be packed with accredited mediators from across the PBA and PLA, so bring your tricky questions for them in some small group and 1:1 mediation conversations.
Registration is from 6pm with coffee & tea on arrival. The session starts promptly at 6.15pm and ends around 8pm and will be followed by the 1:1 mediation conversations with drinks until 9.30pm.
